Hiroshi Tanahashi renews his contract
Hiroshi Tanahashi supported through his social networks that he has decided to renew his contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), ensuring his goodwill from the Japanese business during 2019.
A couple of days after his game at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Tanahashi posted a photograph on his Twitter account with the following remark:”Contract revived with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, I will give my best next season!” No details have yet been revealed regarding the contract signed by Tanahashi, but his words assure us that the winner of G1 Climax 28 will continue to offer his services to NJPW throughout the course of next year.
Hiroshi Tanahashi has returned to the major plane of the Japanese business after consecrating as G1 Climax 28 winner for the third time by beating Kota Ibushi from the grand final held in August. With this triumph, Tanahashi won a contract to challenge IWGP heavyweight champion Kenny Omega in Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4, 2019. His performance during 2018 made the journalists of the renowned Japanese paper Tokyo Sports select him as the best wrestler of the year for the fourth time in his career.
